Drop & Lock™ Glass

Smarter Installation Systems for Glass and Sensitive Materials

Drop & Lock™ provides a revolutionary way to install glass, as well as other systems and materials.

Zahner began developing Drop & Lock™ Glass systems as a way to provide smart and efficient production and installation of glass panels. The panels are dropped into a locked position through small cleats which are received by corresponding openings, preventing the panels from further movement.

The assembled panels provide rapid installation, require no silicone, and result in a visually clean edge with a dry look. The panels are installed onto a pre-milled extrusion which runs the vertical length of the facade.

The Drop & Lock process can be used to create modular panel systems for ceramic, glass, cut stone, terra cotta, and both clear and fritted fenestration systems.

Zahner has also provided other custom systems for curving facades, as well as alternate snapping systems for basic metal wall panels and custom panel systems alike. The Irving Convention Center uses a snap-locking system.
