Patent No. 5394666

The INVERTED SEAMTM system is a unique panel system developed and perfected by Zahner for use on any variety of roof applications.  This system provides designers a smooth planer or curved surface, free of upstanding ribs or features.

This system incorporates a concealed clipping system that acts as a pressure-equalized gutter for capturing water and directing it off of the surface.  The INVERTED SEAMTM system panels also offer flexibility in integrating with other systems such as solar and photo voltaic paneling.

During development our INVERTED SEAMTM system was subjected to extensive wind and pressure testing and proved to be much stronger than conventional standing seam panels.  The result is a sound, pressure-equalized joint system.

Due to its flexibility, the INVERTED SEAMTM system can be constructed from a variety of metal types and can be applied to practically any shaped roof surface.  This type of panel accentuates the customer’s desired metal finish without seam interruption.

This system was used in context in Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, and Hunter Museum.
