Argosy Casino

Argosy Casino & Hotel

In the southeast corner of Indiana, along the Ohio River and adjacent to Ohio and Kentucky, a casino designed by BDMD Architects  and clad in metal by Zahner, the architect's design successfully replicated the region's old structural steel trestle bridges.  The exterior expresses the Victorian theme of the original casino Landside Pavilion and Hotel.

Zahner provided the engineering, furnishing, fabricating, and installing the linear and interconnecting bridge forms of the large resort property. The exterior system uses rain screen technologies developed by Zahner for all components of the building envelope. Approximately 43,400 square feet of visible surface covered by thousands of unique types of panels.

The over-height forms of the skywalks, parking, and support zones were carefully identified using engineering models and fabrication drawings to identifiy bumped and multiple color pattern relationships. Similarly, interior panels, decorative ceiling rings, and faux duct hangers were completed to the same exacting standards.
