A. Zahner was contracted to fabricate and install the store front and the interior wall and soffit panels for Apple's new line of retail boutiques. The store, located at the Grove in Los Angeles, opened to the public on July 26th, 2002. The monolithic stainless steel store front is backlit to illuminate the Apple logo, similar to how the logo appears on Apple's popular line of Mac laptop computers. The main panels are 6' wide by 13' tall and the material is 1/4" thick.

The stainless steel soffits are used in the interior to accent the front display window. Similar to the Soho store that we installed earlier in the month, the LA store features a massive skylight that is located in the center of store. These perforated stainless steel panels serve to diffuse and reflect the natural illumination the skylight provides.

All of the material is stainless steel with a bead blasted finish.
