The
Kansas City Board of Trade sculpture, by Joel Marquardt, is a large, multi-panel
piece fabricated in stainless steel, bronze and copper.
Working
from an artist's mock-up that was approximately 15" tall, A. Zahner
Company enlarged the image to approximately 60' tall and attached it
to the side of an existing parking garage. |

Each
of the 55 copper panels has a design and patina that is unique to that
panel. Back lit with neon, the sculpture is as visually interesting by
night as it is by day.
