Hunter Zinc provides a unique tonality that resembles limestone. It is available as a flat sheet good or for specification within a Zahner project.
Hunter Zinc was originally developed for the iconic Hunter Museum in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Original specifications called for a limestone exterior before this was deemed implausible due to limestone’s structural weight.
A panel system featuring light gauge Hunter Zinc proved to be an excellent replacement for the limestone.
Its variegated and matte appearance seamlessly a variety of design aesthetics.
Hunter Zinc delivers longstanding durability and quality.
Zahner’s zinc patinas are the result of twenty years of research and development with zinc patination. Achieving a stable and durable patina on zinc necessitates a deep understanding of science, chemical compounds, diverse climatic conditions, and local atmospheric conditions.
Zahner’s expertise in these fields allows for optimized patina systems, resulting in a reliable product.
