The architect behind Marina Bay Sands, Crystal Bridges, Kauffman Center, and perhaps most famously, Habitat 67, turns 77 today. Moshe Safdie with his firm Safdie Architects has consistently produced a series of iconic forms whose functions have been celebrated around the world for their futurist tendency for historic community.

Safdie has been a proponent of green architecture during his career, and his push for spaces that cultivate community have made him a great urbanist as well as architect.

Happy Birthday Moshe Safdie
