Rogers Place Arena
Rogers Place Arena; Edmonton, Alberta
Located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, Alberta, the Rogers Place arena is Canada’s first certified LEED Silver National Hockey League arena. Designed by sports experts, 360 Architecture, now part of HOK, the facility is home of the Edmonton Oilers and the Edmonton Oil Kings.
Zahner supplied 212,000 visible square feet of custom Angel Hair® Stainless steel panels. Zahner also fabricated and supplied 380+ ZEPPS panels to form the geometric controlled edges of the curvilinear structure. Flynn served as the engineer of the façade and installed the building envelope.
The collaborative efforts of the Zahner Engineers with the Client’s design team in developing a massive project with a strong architectural aesthetic is clear. Rogers Place Arena conveys the pride of the character of the City of Edmonton and all Albertans.
